THORNTON, Colo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASTI), a manufacturer of state-of-the-art, flexible thin-film photovoltaic modules, announced today the opening of three kiosk locations in Southern California for the company’s EnerPlexTM brand of consumer electronics.
Located in The Grove in Los Angeles, Westfield Santa Anita and the Irvine Spectrum Center, the new kiosk locations represent an expansion of the retail strategy pioneered in Colorado during 2013. This brings EnerPlex’s revolutionary solar integrated products and accessories directly into the hands of consumers; shoppers will have the opportunity to touch and feel the products as well as speak directly with a knowledgeable staff. More information on the entire EnerPlex series of products can be found at www.goenerplex.com.
Jeramie Skogg, Ascent’s Manager of Retail Channel Development, said, “Southern California was strategically selected as the next step in our kiosk expansion strategy due to its dense and affluent population. Expanding our footprint in time for the beginning of the holiday shopping season not only will boost our brand recognition in one of the most densely populated areas of the United States but will provide an extremely advantageous selling opportunity during the busiest shopping season of the year.”
The introduction of the EnerPlex series of products has revolutionized the applications of thin-film solar modules within the consumer marketplace. With the SurfrTM line of solar and battery integrated phone cases, as well as the KickrTM line of portable solar chargers, the EnerPlex series allow consumers to interact with solar technology in ways never before possible. The JumprTM line-up of portable batteries completes an integrated, solar charging and storage solution for life on the go. Finally, the newly introduced PackrTM solar backpack combines style, practicality and technology for consumer use.
